My eID - How to Link My eID to My eServices Sign In Account

Prerequisites

Download the eID Software

Ensure the eID software is installed on your desktop. Click here to download the software.

Connect Your eID Card

Make sure your eID card is connected to your computer, either via NFC or a smart card reader BEFORE completing the below steps. Learn how to connect your card here.

eServices Account

You should already have an eServices account.

Step-by-Step Instructions to Link Your eID Card:

1. Go to the myeid.egov.ky website
2. Select Sign In at the top right of the screen.
Make sure your eID card is connected to your computer according to the prerequisites.

3. Enter Your eServices Login Information

You will be prompted to Link your ID card to your eServices login. Enter your eServices username and password.

4. Receive a One-Time Passcode (OTP)

After entering your login information, you will receive a One-Time Passcode (OTP) sent to the email associated with your eServices account.

5. Enter the OTP

Input the OTP in the designated field.

6. Redirect to the eGov Page

After successfully entering the OTP, you will be redirected to the eGov page, confirming that you are logged in. Your name will display on the main home bar and your profile icon will display.

7. Verify Your Account

You should now see your profile icon at the top right of the page. Click on it to confirm that your eID card is linked to your eServices account.
