How to Request a Change to Your Information

If your personal information has changed and you need to update the details on your Cayman Islands Identification Card (My eID) or held in the Identification Register, please contact the eID team directly.

What you will need

You will need to present the original or a certified copy of supporting documentation in person before your request can be finalised. (See documents below)

A certified copy is a photocopy that has been verified as a true copy of the original by an authorised person, such as a notary public, attorney, or Justice of the Peace.


Documents required by change type

Note: A surname can be changed on the basis of marriage. Adding or changing a hyphenated name requires a deed poll. If you hold a passport (other than a BOTC or Cayman passport), you may need to update your name there first.

Note: This applies to updates to the immigration category shown on your card or in the Register.
