Under Regulation 25 of the Traffic Regulations (2021 Revision), DVDL must receive a letter of consent or a release form (Bank Lien Notification form) from the lien holder before any vehicle is transferred, terminated or suspended.
While it is necessary for the bank to forward a notification of lien removal, you may have to request that the notification be done. See Export/Termination of Vehicle section for more information.
