If you have the new plate type (EVR) (white background), a coupon is not required (for renewals), your old coupon should be removed from your windscreen. For vehicles that have the old plate type (yellow, orange, Quincentennial) you will be required to surrender the old plates. The process of transitioning out the older style plates is still ongoing and these vehicles will need to be change to the new plates as these plates are now illegal. A new coupon will be issued to you with your new vehicle registration plate and vehicle’s license paperwork.
