For confirming proof of Caymanian status, we can accept any one of the following:
- Cayman Islands Passport (if you were born in the Cayman Islands on or before 27th March 1977)
- Current Cayman Islands Voter registration card (Where a voter’s identification card is provided, immigration status may need to be verified)
- An Acknowledgment/Confirmation Letter from WORC
- Caymanian Status Certificate
- Stamp in a valid passport indicating the Caymanian status
The applicant’s birth certificate and parent’s birth certificate. The birth certificate should reflect the parents’ birthplace. Proof of the parents’ citizenship should also be submitted. Please note that as per the Immigration Act, the child takes on the nationality of the mother unless the parents are married at the time of the child’s birth. If the parents were married at the time of the child’s birth, submit the parents' marriage certificate.
