Use this guide if you were previously naturalised or registered as a British Overseas Territories Citizen (BOTC) and have lost or damaged your Certificate of Naturalisation or Registration. You can apply online for a Proof of Nationality Letter from the Office of the Deputy Governor (ODG).
Prerequisites:
1. An eServices Sign In account — you must be a signed-in eServices user to apply. If you do not have one, select Register Here on the Sign In panel before you begin.
2. Your citizenship details — Your type of citizenship (by registration or by naturalisation) and, if you have them, your certificate number, date of naturalisation or registration, and the section of law it was granted under.
3. Certified copies of your documents — Scanned copies certified by a Justice of the Peace or notarised by a Notary Public: your Cayman Islands passport data/photo page, and your proof of nationality (a copy of your registration certificate, naturalisation certificate or Proof of Nationality letter). A recent colour full-face photograph and a cover letter explaining your request are optional. Documents in a foreign language must be translated by a registered translator in the Cayman Islands.
4. The application fee — KYD $150.00 (USD $182.93), paid online by credit or debit card, or in person at any Cayman Islands Post Office with a payment voucher.
