ILM Leadership & Management Training

We offer ILM Leadership & Management programmes from level 2 (Aspire) to level 7.  They are internationally recognized programmes accredited with City & Guilds ILM.

These courses are fully funded for core civil servants.  SAGCs may also apply via their HR departments.

Levels

Aspire – for aspiring managers / supervisors.  You do not need to be currently line managing anyone, but should be preparing to move in to a management or supervisory role in the near future.  No prior leadership training is required.  This course includes an Induction and 4 modules taught over 5 months.  There is 3 hours teaching time per month and one assignment. per module.

Level 3 – for current managers and supervisors. No prior leadership training is required. This course includes an Induction and 7 modules taught over 8 months.  There is 3 hours teaching time per month and one assignment per module.

Level 5 – for more senior managers / managers of managers. Prior leadership training at level 3 (or equivalent) is required.  There is 3 hours teaching time This course includes an Induction and 4 modules carried our over 5 months.  There is 3 hours teaching time per month and one assignment per module.

Level 7 – for senior managers, such as Head of Department, Director, Head of Profession, Deputy Dhief Officer, Chief Officer etc.  Prior leadership training at level 5 (or equivalent) is required. This course involves leading an in-depth enquiry over 7 months.  There are 5 full day workshops; peer sessions; and extensive study hours to complete this programme.

Registration opens in October for cohorts commencing the following January/February/March; and in April for cohorts commencing the following June/July/August.
